Here’s a picture of one of the later stages of his construction, just for reference here:Īnd here’s some pics of him finally painted. Here’s that blog post to see the construction and conversion aspects of Lumpy. I posted to the blog about how I constructed him. Daemon Prince of Nurgle is a unit that contains 1 model. Let’s go to our way-back machine to when I actually built this guy – was it really a year and a half ago? Time flies! Just like the buzzing flies of grandfather Nurgle I suppose… but I digress. It didn’t take me too long to paint him, and maybe it was just that I was working on other projects. Well, he sat in my “needs to be painted pile” for long enough, and I’m happy to say I’m really happy with how he turned out. A long while back I started a little conversion project for a Nurgle Daemon Prince, who I named “ Lumpy” (for hopefully apparent reasons). Hey everyone, Cranky Old Gamer here and I excited to finally say that a project that has long been on my “to be completed” shelf is finally done. I like to look at it more like the Lord of Virulence is a chaos lord in terminator armour with an added plague aura and death guard specific weapons.Check out this AWESOME conversion! It lives! Lumpy the Nurgle Daemon Prince is painted! A Great Unclean One, the Greater Daemon of Nurgle A Great Unclean One is a grotesquely corpulent Greater Daemon of the Plague God Nurgle, the Chaos God of disease, death and decay. What he lacks in out and out power he makes up for in ranged capabilities and support. Over all I think the Lord of Virulence is a good take but isnt as straight forwardly powerful as the Lord of Contagion. Running him alongside squads of plague marines is also pretty useful as you can give bolters the plague rule with virulent rounds. His ability to decrease the cost of Blight Bombardment is nice but I dont think that would ever be something a gameplan hinges on. Put him alongside some deathshroud and he is also buffing their plague weapons at the same time. This is great for a unit that can deep strike anywhere and be in shooting range. Plague weapon options can also make it more reliable or start to deal splash damage via mortal wounds. ![]() Top posts july 18th 2018 Top posts of july, 2018 Top posts 2018. I was looking at the option of taking a Daemon Prince of Nurgle with the Plague Spewer, Suppurating Plate relic and Arch Contaminator Warlord trait. Feel free to show your minis, discuss your lists, and rejoice in our shared gift from Papa Nurgle. If you take him as a mortarions son company you can use the stratagem "plague brewers" to make it D2. Daemon Prince - Plague Spewer a decent option Close. It was during this time that the infections of Nurgle began to silently assail the Death Guard. The spitter really is an incredible weapon. Without hope of salvation, their warships moved aimlessly. 2d6 plague spitter that can also have plague weapon upgrades. Compared to the LOC he has a ranged attack though which is pretty solid. ![]() Going from D3 (plague reaper) to D2 on his plague claw he still hits hard, just not as hard as the LoC. His melee output isnt that far off from the lord of contagion. The lord of virulence still has some good places to be though. He hits very hard in melee and is a pretty good character to put a company specific contagion on due to his increased contagion range. My conversation for a daemon prince of Nurgle with a plague spewer still got work to do. However, I can't really see any reason why I would want to equip him with anything other than a pair of Talons. Death Guard Daemon Prince - Plague Collector. my first painted model for the army is this converted Deamon Prince of Nurgle I made from a Khorgorath. The lord of contagion is more of a straight up beat stick. 1 Posted On at 12:12 PM, GenerationTerrorist said: I was thinking of giving him The Suppurating Plate relic and the Revoltingly Resilient Warlord Trait. Does the canon looking thing in his left hand count as a plague spewer for death guard or do I have to make a convertion Advertisement Coins.
